The Arizona School Public Relations Association is a professional organization that provides support to educators involved in school public relations, as well as professional development activities for school public relations specialists. It is comprised of a group of outstanding people who are committed to education and who take the responsibility of good communications seriously.

Building and maintaining public confidence in our schools are two of the most important tasks educators face today. ASPRA is dedicated to improving the public’s understanding and support of and commitment to public education.

History of ASPRA

The Arizona School Public Relations Association was chartered in 1963. It is a proud state chapter of the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA), which has been a leader in school communications since its founding in 1935. ASPRA was established to support Arizona’s school communication professionals by providing leadership, professional development, and a collaborative network tailored to the unique needs of Arizona’s educational landscape.

As part of NSPRA’s nationwide network, ASPRA shares in the mission of advancing education through responsible communication. Over the years, ASPRA has grown into a vibrant community of communicators, offering annual conferences, professional recognition through the ASPRA*tions Awards, and ongoing training opportunities.
